Where We Explore the Infinitely Deep Implications of How We Build Vessels
Two central concepts in Kabbalah are Vessels and Light. The idea being that we cannot access and be guided by light unless we build vessels to use that light. It is like the image of Fire and a Candle. The candle allows us to use fire in way that benefits us. Or in modern terms a vessel is like a lightbulb which allows the electricity to be contained in a way that bestows enormous new possibilities to use electricity and light.
Just light a lightbulb, our vessels need to be designed and built. Vessels of the soul are good character traits, positive relationships based on high values, and rectified speech. In order to build these vessels, focused work and wisdom are required and we must avoid things in the world that tend to break our vessels.
By mastering our physical lives and finding the proper balance between physical needs and the needs of the soul and living in accordance with Wisdom, we can build vessels that can hold light which imbues our lives with courage, hope, good council, meaning and love.
