Where We Explore the Infinitely Deep Implications of Our Biblical Roots
The Roots of Israel are in the Biblical narratives & Commandments in the Five Books of Moses. The story of Adam and even in the garden, the lives of the Patriarchs and Matriarchs, the story of the Exodus from Egypt, the receiving the Torah on Mount Sinai, the 40 years wandering in the desert, and the entrance to and conquering of the Land of Israel all make up integral parts of traditional Jewish Consciousness and teach us how to live a meaningful life based on a moral code.
Since the European enlightenment, many Jew and Christians have left religion. In our post-modern era where almost all old Biblical institutions and ideas have been challenged and abandoned, we find ourselves facing unprecedented nihilism, meaninglessness, and unbound sexual appetite, causing confusion, depression, bitterness and violence, on a global scale.
We need not throw out the baby with the bath water. There is enormous wisdom in the Jewish tradition which is available for anyone who wants to drink from its well. We are ripe for a new form of religious observance based on the Love of G-d and life after many centuries of a fear based approach.
