By keeping our lives aligned with what is good for us, we become ready to unify with the other. Only in true intimacy can we heal the deepest parts of ourselves. Authentic relationships allow us to connect to levels of reality that bring out our highest qualities and potential. The central Torah idea of “brit” or “covenant” is what allows us to unify opposing qualities in life and to find the source in Oneness, the Tree of Life
